"Modifies an item unpredictably and Corrupts it." Corrupted items can't be modified again by normal currency, so a Vaal Orb is always the last step of a craft. A Hinekora's Lock lets you see the result before you commit.
What can happen
On gear, the outcomes include no change, rerolled modifiers, a Vaal enchantment or an extra socket. On waystones it can move the tier up or down, which is the main way players reach Tier 16 waystones.
New in 0.5
Patch 0.5.0 changed the corruption that pushes values past their normal range: it now multiplies each modifier's current value instead of rerolling it.
Forbidden Rites softcore: not Hardcore, and not the permanent Standard league, which are separate economies. Every price on this page is for Forbidden Rites.
How is the currency delivered?
Through PoE2's in-game trade window, with no account login. Give us your character name at checkout. Once your order is ready we message you in-game or on Discord, you accept our trade request, confirm the item and quantity shown, and the items are handed over directly.
Is buying currency against Path of Exile 2's rules?
Yes. Grinding Gear Games' Terms of Use only allow trading items with other players for personal, non-commercial purposes, and GGG's trading policy says buying and selling items for real money isn't allowed. GGG can cancel an account, including its items, without notice. We hand currency over through the ordinary trade window, but the risk sits with the account holder.
